Club Cars Return!

The Worcester Model Railroaders are pleased to announce that we have new club cars available for sale. By popular demand, we have commissioned a 40' single door box car, perfect for those transition-era layouts. The cars are manufactured by Branchline as part of their “Yardmaster” series, and feature dark blue bodies, black roofs & ends and movable doors. For those wondering if the cars fit your modeling era, the build date on the cars is 1942 and the “paint date” shown is 1956, so they are fair game for any number of layouts from the transition era through the modern day (some copper manufacturers still use 40 foot cars to transport copper sheet).

We produced the cars with six different road numbers, and they are available as kits or as assembled models.

Unassembled cars sell for $15 each, or you can buy a 6-pack of cars with all 6 road numbers for $85. Assembled cars are $22. An assembled 6-pack can be purchased for $120. Massachusetts residents must add 5% sales tax. Shipping and handling is $5.95 for the first car and $0.50 for each additional car.

All cars feature the “Serving the Heart of New England” logo.
